For the democratic national primary February is a very important time. Iowa votes on the first week of the month which to most candidates is a make or break state. The boost in momentum that comes from winning the first state to vote has proven very important in recent elections. With this being arguably the most important election in our countries history just increases the tension. The democratic national committee decided to modernize the way votes are taken and counted. But it did not go as planned. The smartphone app they used kept the US from knowing the winner for days. The modern way of voting in the 21st century proved to be too confusing for most.
